Current mood: discontent
Current music:Murmur, of course

Rest assured this will not last, take a turn for the worst
I generally don't have much to say after a tough loss. I guess what it comes down to is that a lot of anger comes out in other folks, including people I love. I love my team. I honestly don't think they owe me anything. I understand disappointment, but not anger. Save anger for things you can actually do something about--you, yourself.

But of course, it's not my job to tell folks how to react, so I lay low, and just make a promise to cheer harder the next time I'm out.

Edited a bunch more of the new Mark Bellhorn collection. They're as yet uncaptioned (the series where he leaped out of the frame needs captions--oh, if he'd just been able to hold onto that wild throw!)

and there will be more, including his teammates, should you be a Suns fan! In any case, they're here.

What a nice way to take the sting out of another tough Sox loss...

Those are great pics! You've done a masterful job catching him in all aspects of the game: stretching, crouching, batting, fielding, pitching (hehe), hatless, helmeted, hunkish, OK stopping now... Good to see him sticking with a game he obviously loves so much.

p.s. Murmur = favorite REM

p.p.s. He is still gorgeous...

Ok, is this the answer to where you flew off to? ;)
I was wondering....and actually looking for you in the crowd at Tampa (since I get every baseball game ever...now)
Turned the iPod on yesterday and lo and behold..."sitting still" came on.
Waiting to run away from home myself - running back home?

Yep. ^_^ I have a friend (fellow Sox and Bellhorn fan) in Jacksonville who could put me up and drive me around, and the timing worked--the intention was to fly in Monday, see games Monday night and Tuesday day, and then get home Tuesday night. My boss was in Germany, I wouldn't be away from home too long, and the price was right (airfares were dirt cheap because of the weird timing so close to the holiday, and of course the tix were decidedly inexpensive). The "rainout" Monday night (rained in the afternoon but not anywhere near game time!) was a little tough, but at least he played Tuesday. Did my heart some good to see him!

I did actually know several folks at the Tampa games, though in retrospect I can't say I'm sorry I missed them...!

I hope it's a good visit home. I wish I could have timed it to get down and see you, but I also thought, you'll have a lot going on in a short time, and I should focus instead on getting out to SF to see you there! ^_^ After your trip let's talk about times that are less likely for you to be crazed at work. I miss you!

I miss you too!
Very much.
And honestly, I keep my eyes open all the time for fun bars etc. with the constant thought "Hey, Kelly and I would find trouble there!" ;)
I have a really great Irish pub in mind and there is always something to see or do out here! segway anyone???
Would love to take you to a game at AT&T if we can swing it during baseball season - it's a great place to see a game - even if you are eh about the teams. And I am really just loving watching Lincecum pitch.
Check out the new SI - "Freak"
He's decidedly a cutie pie.

I like the way the drape of his right arm makes it look like he just casually poinged into the air :)
